Ever been on a long cold hunting trip and get the urge for a six pack? Me to!
This afternoon, we had a much more interesting kind of six pack dropped into our lap.

Preseason Warm-Ups
Shooting from a concealed location like an abandon house is a great way to practice while staying out of weather that would make range shooting less than fun.
These are also great places to set up for predator hunting as long as you have some kind of electronic call set up away from your location.
We got some GREAT vapor trails on film here. Not meant to show skill, but to improve upon it.

3 sets, 5 dogs
Our first set today and 5 dogs make an appearance. As the camera man, I was focused on the first two mangy ones that appeared on the tree line. Unknown to me, due to my obstructed location, 3 more are approaching from the north. One gets close enough for a shot and my shooter delivers a 50gr Vmax to the boiler room of an unsuspecting victim.
The two trailers were off like a light, heading out into the distance fast and noisy. The two with mange that first appear on the tree line were still sunning in the same place.
Shooter took aim and missed just short sending dust flying into the face of the beast.
The 2nd and 3rd sets were a bust, but the average of 5 dogs in 3 sets tells me that when the snow flies, we will have dogs to call and kills to film.

Predator hunting is now in FULL SWING. More videos will come asap. Looking forward to some deep snow and some great film footage of the camo blending with the environment.
